[Even if Snitter spooked Henry, he couldn't deny that when the Pokemon started doing that, it wasn't downright fascinating. He leans in closer to his gear to get a better look.]
[He's silent for a beat before whispering out an honestly bewildered,]
[Either it was the music or Henry was also experiencing some kind of photosynthesis because he started bobbing his head unconsciously along with the tune.]
Perfect.
[Flower, who was now in-frame, just gazes up at him in confusion.]
[Eventually the track runs out and Snitter's sweet photosynthesis boogie winds down. As though coming out of a trance, the Null blinks a couple of times, then slowly turns and ambles over to the bed.]
Oh-- Snits, no--
[Too late. The gangly creature scrambles up onto the mattress in an awkward flailing of limbs, and then curls up, looking at her expectantly.]
[:T well she can't kick him off NOW, look at him.]
[Henry stands from his desk, gives a couple of passing words to the Joy at the other side of the desk, and ducks into the back where all the equipment and overnight kennels are. There, he crouches down and aims the 'gear at a pile of fat sleepy baby Nidorans.]
They just hatched tonight. They don't even know what grass is.
Right. And some days, trainers need to go somewhere on short notice. They'll usually leave a flamebody Pokemon with us and we'll take shifts in walking with them. Sometimes we just end up with a surprise. We haven't kept a Null yet though. They're all so different.
[Henry says this a little firmly. He knows Heather isn't going to walk in the door and plop Snitter into his lap, but he is...concerned. He wasn't usually the type to attack other men with his teeth and nails. He's just not sure what's going to happen when he's in the same room with this unnatural disco robo dog.]
[She doesn't remember exactly when the Lapras hatched, only that most of the time she's been home over the summer, the most she'd seen of Flotsam had been a lot of happy splashing out in the pool.]
Video
[She shifts the camera a little bit.]
Every so often he starts that-- there, see, he's doing it.
[The strange Pokemon has begun to bob up and down at the elbows and knees. Still staring into the light.]
Video
[He's silent for a beat before whispering out an honestly bewildered,]
What the hell...?
Video
It's like he's powering up or something.
Weird, huh?
Video
Heather, I need you to get someone else's gear and play some music. And then film him doing this.
Video
[She leaves her own 'Gear propped up on the bed and then goes to get Envy's. After a couple moments of fiddling, this starts playing.]
[It either goes perfectly with Snitter's rhythm, or Snitter shifted his beat to match with the music.]
Video
Perfect.

... Man, if you weren't so hard to snuggle...
Video
Hey, I didn't tell you that you could sto--oh. Oh, no.
[He only just realizes how awful it must be when one of those things wants to snuggle. The Rockruffs were pointy ENOUGH.]
Are Eye Pee, Heather.
Video
Well, I guess this is my life now.
[She's generally been TRYING to keep him off the bed, but... he really wants to be there.]
[She reaches over to scratch Snitter's shaggy net.]
Video
Why did you decide to enroll in the Null project anyway? I've seen a few people come in with them and they all have a different story.
Video
Like, I think that company is doing some shady bullshit-- I think everybody does... but it's not the Nulls' fault.
All they know is the inside of a lab.
[She does. She loves her horrifying robot dog and she's actually really surprised at how quickly she's gotten attached to it.]
I guess I just feel like they deserve a chance to see the world as much as anything else.
Video
I'm glad he's got you...hey, wanna see something that's also never seen the outside of a lab?
Video
[It's either gonna be something really weird, really dumb, or both.]
... Sure, lay it on me.
Video

They just hatched tonight. They don't even know what grass is.
Video
[In the best way.]
[Her answer comes in a quiet gasp.]
Oh, shit!
[... Crass, but Henry will know THAT'S JUST HEATHER'S WAY OF BEING AWED.]
They're so tiny.
Video
This job might not be easy, but it has its perks.
Video

Video
Only a few people have gotten one so far.
[She rubs the back of her neck with one hand, patting the now-awkwardly-curled Null at her side.]
I'm not sure I'd wanna leave Snitter at a Center.
They're kind of... one-person Pokemon.

Suits me.
[They're so spooky.]

You know you're gonna have to deal with him when we get home eventually, right?

I won't let him come over and just vehemently rub his helmet on you.
[Which is a thing he does. She now has scrapes and rips in her jeans that WEREN'T a fashion statement.]
