Room 025 [video]
[There is lots of clanging and bumping as the feed turns on to reveal a hotel bathroom. A Shellder happily peeks out of a MOUNTAIN of soap suds and Henry's arm with the sleeve rolled up can be seen with a sponge in-hand.]
Heh, I'll bet that's better, huh, little guy? Smile!
[Clam waggles his tongue happily and ducks down into the soapy water before popping back up and balancing on the tub's edge. It's clear that the big HENRY that had been scribbled onto him with a sharpie ages ago is slowly being scrubbed away. The H and part of the R Y still remain.]
When this place says permanent marker, it means it. Protip: don't draw on your pokemon, no matter how good an idea it seems.

How long ago did you draw that on there?
If I could sell a marker that permanent back in my world, I'd make a fortune.
[Transmutation circles and all.]
What'd you write your name on him for, anyway? Worried someone would pick him up and walk off with him?
[Clearly he's gotten used to Henry by now, because he is completely willing to just roll with trying to put collars on clams as a thing that happened. Mostly.]
This is all for that Starter Appreciation day, right?
[He turns the camera down to show that he's sitting on said Tyranitar's back; Chimera is lying on the ground and happily gnawing on what looks like a large popsicle.]
[...Envy took 'serve chilled' as 'put it in the freezer and forget to take it out for four hours'.]
Yeah, and I only made that mistake once.
What, have you been eating them?
[Whatever Henry is describing sounds a lot more on the good side than what happened to him. But he is still highly suspicious of ALL BERRIES.]
Figures the ones I tried were the ones that give you a fever for a day instead.
[...]
[.........]
Not so sure I want to try those.
[Assuming that's quite a while then...]
Why the sudden decision to get rid of it?
[Not that it's ever occurred to him to give it a shot, and even then, it would be a dangerous thing to do to Pokémon that can (and will) gouge your eyes out with their beaks and/or talons if they feel like it.]
Special Starter Appreciation Day bonding?
C'mon, don't be so harsh on yourself! We all gotta start somewhere, right?
[video] 1/2
[Wow, it probably takes some skill to get beaten up by a bunch of walking marshmallows. He'd laugh at that, but at the same it's almost sad, so there's a moment of awkward silence instead.
... NO SERIOUSLY WHAT IS HE EVEN SUPPOSED TO SAY TO THAT]
[video] 2/2
Want some help from an expert?
[video] 2/2
I could use all the help I can get.
[Always so modest.]
Yeah, actually, I'd like that. My guys are still pretty little.
Gotcha. Wanna meet now? Or... after you've done giving your pal a bath, whichever works!
Action
Having any luck?
Action
So far so good!
Action
Well it seems to be coming off somewhat.
Clam doesn't mind?
Action
Action
He didn't mind when you wrote it on him?
Action
[It...counted as a face, right?]
Action

[Walks over through the suds to get a closer look.]
He seems to have opened up more now though.
[That may have been a dad joke. Possibly, it's hard to tell with Harry.]
Action
Kinda like me, I guess.
Action
You were a bit jumpy when we met you.
[Understatement of the year Harry.]
I'm glad you decided to travel with us despite that.
[Even if they did have to search for you in a forest before they could adopt you.]
Action
I am too. I don't know what I would have done without you.
[Get eaten by a bear maybe.]
Action
Lived in the forest for a while longer at least I'm guessing.
Action
[He rubs his chin. He's always got some stubble going on there but not really a beard-beard.]
Action
[Henry the wild man.]
Action
Action
[There's probably one of those.]
Action
Action
The Wildman of the Pokemon world.
Action
I'd better start growing my beard out then.
Action
Action
[Come on, adopted!dad, he's an ~artist~ here.]
Action
Well then I guess you'd better get a start at it then.
How long do you think it would have to be?
Action
Action
[video]
Ah...Have you tried using rubbing alcohol on the markings?
[Disclaimer: Not a marine biologist.]
I don't think it would hurt him, no...his shell is pretty tough.
[No it doesn't.]
[He'll be damned if we woke up to an army of gigantic clams boppin' around in Violet.]
Is he a water-type?
Yeah. Pokedex says he'll evolve into a water-ice if I can get an evolution stone. But I want to train him more first.
[Oh hello Henry! There is a Houndour interrupting this conversation, padding into the camera's view and hopping on Norman's lap.]
Taco, get down. You're blocking the way.
[NOPE. Taco is going to rest riiiiight here.
He sighs in defeat.]
Well hey there.
I already said hello. I think he's talking to you.
[He starts to bark happily, pawing at his master's chest.]
Shh, down boy. Down.
[That doesn't stop Taco from maneuvering himself on Norman's lap to reach over for the camera with his snout.]
Sorry, he gets real excited around new people.
[Henry thinks that is an awesome name btw.]
[Translation: Is the person saying hello? I say hello! Hello back person!]
After hearing some of the stories about trainers and their pokemon? I can believe it.
[Taco continues to paw and bark at the camera.]
[THEY ARE TEARS OF PAIN.]
Why are you laughing? Norman does not understand. Stahp it. He's confused.]
Is it something I said?
...
...
... Uh huh. Welp, the jury has finally reached a verdict.]
...That's the biggest dog I've ever seen in my life.
[God, imagine how much drool that dog must produce on a daily basis?]

Yeah...it's a lot happier here. I'm not sure I wanna go home, to be perfectly honest.

What are your passions?! I like reading, and writing and drawing pictures! [ And other things but those are her big three! ]
no subject
When I'm not on a weird pokemon adventure, I'm a photographer. And I like cereal.
[THOSE TWO THINGS WERE...ABOUT ALL THERE WAS TO HENRY.]
no subject
You take photographs? Do you just usually use a camera? Or, do you sometimes do really cool things to your photos, like, find a way to bring out the sunset in the background or something.
[ She doesn't so much know how to talk about cereal, so she'll ignore that. Or maybe come back to it if she thinks of something to say about it, but, photography sounds kinda interesting! ]

[He's going to have to pay closer attention to the stores now. He has to find something made like that.]
The poke'gear isn't so bad! When I first got here, that's how I took all my photos. Like this one...

Wow! It's just so beautiful! The sunset with the darkened forest makes it look like daytime and nighttime at the same time! [ say that five times fast! ] This is really really good! You really know when to take a picture! [ Even more praise!! ] Where was this taken at anyways?
no subject
I was around Cherrygrove at the time. Do you see the Hoot Hoot in the photo? He's on my team now.
