A lot of it looks kind of gross, store-brand candy that was probably discounted to BEGIN with. A shiny Venonat sits on top of the pile and nibbles on an empty packet of pop rocks.]}

She's got me and her dad. We've been here for a while. I don't think we've been separated except for that one weird weekend where everything got mixed up.

[ His eyes widen a bit. He seems to recall her father being here before, wasn't he...? His memory's foggy on that though. ]

Her father, huh... That's good. I'm glad. She deserves that much. [ Nods absently. ]

Where are you guys right now anyway?

We're in Mahogany. We've been here for a while now.

Hnn... [ Rubs his forehead. ] Probably won't see you guys then... I'm taking that ferry to Pallet.

_{[Henry is momentarily distracted from remembering a few of the stories Heather has told him about Snake and the crew she used to hang out with by SUDDEN SMOKE.]}

Uh, is something on fire over there?

... Nno. Not really... [ He tilts the PokeGear down so that his new Torkoal comes into view, looking grumpy as ever. ]

This is Boss... My new partner. Used to have another one of these guys the last time I was here. His name was Marlboro.

_{[Henry gives a small nod.]}

I know about him. I've had him for a while now. If Marlboro was any more chill, he'd be an Ice-type.

[ Wait a second, step back. ]

You have Marlboro?

Heather gave him to me for protection. I'm...not a very good pokemon trainer.

[ oh that's okay ]

... Can I see him?

He's in the computer system right now since I have the little ones on my team, but I could go get him sometime soon! I bet he'd be happy to see you.

... Oh. [ Snake feels small pang of sadness go through his heart. He always kept Marlboro on his team, since he was so reliable. He... He's glad that the old guy has a new trainer, though. He wouldn't have wanted him to disappear, or whatever happens to Pokemon when the trainer vanishes. ]

Hhnn... Well, I'm glad he's all right. He came through for me a hell of a lot.

He's a great pokemon. Sometimes he keeps me company on smoke breaks when it's cold outside.

Hheh.

Looks like he hasn't changed one bit.

[ Good ol' Marlboro. ]
