_{[Henry's face appears and he gets right to the point. If one pays attention, they'll notice a dribble of wax slowly dripping down between his eyes. His new baby litwick seems very fond of his head. Henry seems indifferent. In fact, he seems kind of out of it.]}

What kind of pokemon is a candle with a face...

...I mean. I remember magnet-o-mite or whatever from the game but...

_{[And then he dozes off. The energy has been sucked right out of him. The litwick giggles and Burger can be heard hissing from off camera.]

[Where the hell is Henry? He seems like he's outside somewhere if the leaves stuck to his shirt are any clue. It looks like it's getting dark.]}

_{[After a lot of uneventful searching and probably a whole lot of back and forth "QUESTION ABOUT WHEREABOUTS?" "COMPLETELY USELESS ONE-WORD ANSWER", Heather finally comes tromping back into town, frustrated and with a lot of fresh blisters on her heels.]}

_{[And as Heather passes, the 'received message' sound plays on Henry's 'gear as the little litwick chews on it while making various ababababa baby pokemon sounds.]}

_{[Maybe he'd wandered into that Safari Zone place. She wouldn't put it past him. God, if that's the case she just hopes her father'll be able to convince the wardens to let them in to look for him before he gets eaten by a Kangaskhan or someth-- what was that.]

[Pausing in her tracks, Heather frowns... and then slooowly walks backwards until she can peer over the small fence and into the garden area.]

[... Those shoes poking out of the Oran bushes look mighty familiar.]}

Sounds like something from a cartoon. [Also like you need something stronger than coffee.]

...Hi. [AWKWARD TEENAGER IS AWKWARD.]

_{[The little pokemon blubbers and tries to do her best to follow Bakura's instructions. She grips the gear with her stubby little arms and toddles away from Henry. She looks back at him and sniffs as her flame shrinks back down.]}

_{[He'd made a similar sound last Halloween after coming down from his candy-stash sugar high. He had no energy.]

[The little pokemon that was sitting on him senses Heather's presence and looks up at her with beady little yellow eyes. 8c She wasn't going to take her tall-shaggy-thing away from her, was she? He was food!]}

Cartoon...this whole place is a video game.

_{[Sorry, Henry, your sentient candle wants some screen time. She bobbles into the frame and waves her stumpy little arms at Angela, baby-jabbering the whole while.]}

[[daawww.]] You see how your flame is now? [[said very gently now]] Do you think you can make it be that low when you're still near him?

_{[Okay, she's torn between being annoyed as hell at having wasted two hours tromping around in scrub... and just being exasperated.]}

[Heaving a sigh, she stashes her 'Gear in the back pocket of her jeans and starts to clamber over the little fence.]}

[With that, she can't help but laugh. Awkwardly, and briefly, but it's laughter.]

I don't know...I used to have a game called Pokemon when I was a kid. But the world wasn't called Johto and there weren't any fire turtles or candle babies or...

I was walking to the Poke'mart and my egg hatched...I don't remember anything after...

_{[The litwick doesn't like that at all! She puffs her face up and the flame on top of her head wavers and billows upwards impressively. It had all come from Henry.]

[She lets out a stubborn "WIICK" to let Heather knows she means bidness.]}

Hey--hey!

[Narrowing his eyes at the baby-candle-thing.] You're doing something, aren't you?

And now you're stuck whoknowswhere. Hm..

_{[Well, if flaming horses can put you to sleep with their eyes, who says sentient candles can't]} It must've been your - hey, try to stay awake!

_{[With a slightly startled noise, she yanks her hand back, hissing sharply between her teeth.]}

Ffffffst!

_{[Dammit.]

[Muttering darkly, she steps back and pulls a Pokeball out of her pocket, releasing Butch the Quagsire in a flash of light. ... And shaking him off of her leg immediately as he performs his usual cold, clammy hug of greeting.]}

Enough, boy, it's an... um... _{[She didn't really feel comfortable classing 'Henry is a dumbass' with 'emergency'.]} .... situation.

Grab that... candle thingie and hold onto it, wouldja?
