<sub>[Wherever Henry is, it's dark. The first thing the 'gear's camera sees is the dim light pouring out of the Ecruteak PokeMart's windows. Henry is sitting on the little walk right outside it and sorting through a bag of odds and ends like potions and pokemon snacks. Off to the side is Clam, the Shellder.]

[The 'gear eventually points at it. Henry's name is still Sharpie'd onto its shell. The pokemon's shell is sealed up tight and it isn't moving.]

[When Henry speaks, his voice is lower than it usually is.]</sub>

Is there a way to tell if your pokemon's dead or not? Clam hasn't moved in...in a while.

Then where do ghost pokemon come from? You can't have ghosts unless something dies.

That just doesn't make any sense. Everything dies.

_{[Henry taps on Clam's shell. Now that he's actually speaking in several sentences at a time, Heather gets to hear a bit of what goes ON in that shaggy head of his.]}

When I played the game, there was this city that had a big tower where dead pokemon were kept--like a memorial place. It was sort of like that tower in Violet. You had to fight ghosts or something--but I remember the people saying that they missed their pokemon.

_{[He lets that hang in the air for a bit before turning Clam sideways and looking for cracks in his shell.]}

That place was hard to beat. Maybe he just doesn't like me.

I think I should take him to the Pokemon Center...but the Nurse there never said anything to me when we all healed up once we arrived.
