Room 029 [Video/Action for Mohogany] Backdated to the 5th

_{[A road-worn face greets the network. Behind him is a clean Pokemon Center that contrasts harshly with how trashed the poor guy is. Covered in dirt and leaves and bite marks and various other stains from the wonders of nature, Henry looks about 110% done with the world.]

[His usual shyness is nowhere to be seen and his voice is hoarse]}

The glitching has finally stopped. We're finally out of the woods. I talked to a world famous psychic and even she doesn't know what's going on with how weird this place is. Nobody ever dies. If this was the real world somebody would have already been eaten by a bear or something.

I feel like my old gameboy after my mom washed it by mistake. Just...checking in. When I get back to the hotel, I'm sleeping for a week. In a bed.

_{[Good. RELAXING IS GOOD. She starts to lead him up the stairs. It's been a good long while since they've been in one of the more rustic hotels rather than the big shiny one in Saffron.]

[She's actually gotten them to their room on the second floor and is starting to unlock the door when he busts out with THAT little bit.]}

... A telekinetic pink flying unicorn.

Yeah. I don't remember where we were going, but I did. Did you ever learn to ride Carousel?

Man...if it's after, I wouldn't mind getting one and study it. [Which might be for the best.] But still, rest up.

_{[She pauses, before opening the door and stepping inside.]}

I've... been practicing a little. When I can.

The Sheriff was helping me a bit, up at that farm.

_{[Dropping her bag on one of the bed, she turns and jerks her thumb at the bathroom door.]}

All right. Get thee to the tub.

_{[The photographer wanders on in after her and stands in the middle of the room almost cluelessly. WHAT AM. HOTEL ROOM? BLANKETS? CIVILIZATION? It felt so surreal but so nice at the same time. And right over there was his stuff just like it was supposed to be!]}

Alright, alright...I'll go wash the wildman off.

_{[And so he did. After which he would actually flop face-down on one of the beds and refuse to move for several hours. The floor just wasn't going to cut it today.]}

[He can't help but look relieved.]

I can get my own room...there's what, three of you guys? Four might be a bit much.

[On the same floor, though? Yes. Close by, if he can manage it.]

[...a traumatized Envy is somewhat clingier than your average Envy.]

I guess you're right. I'll make sure we don't leave before you have somebody.

_{[He could always lay on the ground like cats do when you try to walk them. It had worked before.]}

Good man. See you in a few.

_{[And when he gets out, Heather's doing unpacking-- not a lot, but given that they're likely to be here for at least a few weeks, might as well.]

[So he's free to lie there and take comfort in the sounds of his adoptive sister puttering around-- she won't bother him. He deserves some lie-there-not-moving time.]

[Eventually, though, when the sun starts sinking low in the sky, she does head over to give him a poke.]}

Hey.

Dinner.

Wanna go out somewhere or just eat in here?

_{[Henry doesn't respond at first, but his body does boot up long enough for him to speak.]}

I just wanna stay here. I like walls.

_{[Under normal circumstances, Heather would drag him out of the room by the seat of his pants if she had to, but he quite frankly deserves some indoor-time after everything he just went through. So she nods.]}

Okay. I'll run out and pick something up real quick.

_{[She's not sure what kinds of food opportunities are around in this town so she might as well scope out the territory. All the same, she pauses by the door, looking back over at him.]}

... You sure you'll be okay here by yourself for a bit?

I'll be okay.

_{[He sqirms around on the bed until he's angled so that he can reach down into his bag and pull out a pokeball. He releases Boo and she eagerly clambers up and sits on the back of his head.]}

Boo's got it covered.

Well... all right, if you say so.

_{[She starts towards the door again... then pauses. After a moment's thought, she pulls a Pokeball out of her pocket and pops it open by the edge of the bed.]

[Apparently psychically knowing what she's supposed to do, Cheryl trundles over to Henry's side and curls up contentedly. COMFORT EEVEE IS HERE TO CUDDLE.]

[And then Heather heads out!]}

[That gets a grin out of him, equal parts relieved and sheepish. He doesn't really mind that Henry figured out what he was trying to say, even if he personally thinks it makes him seem weak. Henry's his friend, and Envy trusts him to see that weakness.]

Thanks. I owe you one.

[Not just for that, but for the forest, too. He honestly probably wouldn't have made it out if he'd been on his own. And people from Amestris don't take 'I owe you one' lightly. EQUIVALENT EXCHANGE.]

_{[Henry returns the grin. It's smaller but just as honest.]}

You got it, Aquaman.

[Harry had been checking on the layout of the town and getting a few supplies. So he comes back into the hotel room a little later to see if Heather has brought Henry back safely to them.]

_{[And lo, there is Henry, face-down on the bed. Sort of. He's actually hanging off of it with his fingertips brushing the carpet. The battered photographer isn't actually asleep. His hair is still poking every which way from the shower Heather forced him to take hours earlier.]

[When he spots a familiar pair of shoes, Henry issues a greeting.]}

HhhhhHhhhhhhhh

[Harry just puts down the bags he's been carrying.]

Good to see you're still with us Henry. Are you awake?

Nnnnnnnnnnnnnno.

...

Yes.

Good.

[He'll take something out of the bag and put it on the bed next to the man.]

I got you some cereal if you're hungry.

_{[THAT makes him lift his head. Henry looks up and his eyes are wide, thankful saucers. His fambly did love him.]}

Thank you. So much.

[That gets a large smile from Harry and a laugh. Yes Henry your fambly does love him.]

You're welcome. I figured you'd be hungry after your adventures in the wild.

_{[He slowly sits up and winces every time his bones make a sound.]}

Owh. Owh. Owh. I wasn't sure I'd ever see you guys again.

_{[He puts his arms out. Pls insert cereal box.]}

[Harry passes him the box.]

We'd have come and found you if you couldn't find a way out.

[Which is so simple a thing to say, but this guy went through Silent Hill to find his daughter. He'll go through pokemon land to find his adopted son thing.]

_{[He wraps his arms around the box and rests his chin on it. He doesn't want to open it right away. It was too precious.]}

I saw a lot of things, Mr. Mason...some of it was like--the stuff back where we're from. The bad stuff.

[Harry meanwhile sits down on a nearby chair.]
